New parents

Welcome to parenthood! So now that your baby’s here, what do you do?

Being a new parent is exciting, but it’s also very hard work for both you and your partner! Support your partner as you learn to care for your newborn and juggle all your baby’s needs.

While your baby sleeps a lot, you’re probably both exhausted and overwhelmed. Working together as a team can help you manage stress and fatigue.

Dads, don’t be shy—get right in there and help with feedings. If your partner’s breastfeeding, take the baby to her when she’s ready to feed and help them get comfortable. Learn how to support your partner’s decision to breastfeed. Dads also can help out with changing diapers, giving baths, cuddling your baby and putting her to sleep.
